Vinifera Wine Marketing, a well-established California wine broker of small to mid-sized premium wineries, is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated sales representatives in the following territories:

  • San Francisco
  • Santa Cruz/Carmel/Monterey
  • Southern California (all territories)

This role requires the complete management of a territory calling on restaurants, wine bars and retail wine shops, and developing relationships with new accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule tasting appointments and meetings with current account buyers
  • Maintain current wine placements in active accounts
  • Develop relationships with new and prospective accounts and buyers
  • Make weekly sales calls in person, over the phone and email
  • Conduct tasting appointments with buyers and share wine knowledge
  • Maintain accounts receivable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Schedule market work with winery partners

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Wine sales (or restaurant wine sales) experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and can respond quickly to demanding situations
  • Extremely well-organized, personable, and knowledgeable about wine.
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Motivated, enthusiastic team player
  • Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Live in or near the desired territory (preferred)
