Brown Estate Vineyards is a family owned and operated winery located in the Chiles Valley District of Napa whose distinct microclimate is ideal for growing Zinfandel and Bordeaux varieties. Their fifty acres of vines were planted between 1985 and 1990, with the first release of Zinfandel coming in 1996. Cabernet Sauvignon followed in 2000 and in 2002, they added a tiny production of Chardonnay. Through years of hands-on labor Brown Estate has remained a truly homegrown endeavor, and today every aspect of the business remains under direct family control.
